Royal Ordnance Factory Nottingham [ ROF(N), ROF Nottingham ] History

ROF Exhibitions
The ROF organisation held regular internal exhibitions where each of the many factories within the ROF organisation created stands and displayed examples of the capabilities and prvided samples of the work undertaken at their individual sites. These were held every two or three years at a different site each time. Employees from the different sites were transported to the exhibition to help share the knowledge and capabilities that existed with the ROF organisation. Additionally the factory was involved in exhibitions which were organised locally to promote Industry within the local area and the opportunities that existed.

Closure
To mark the Closure of the Site a semi-formal closing ceremony was held. The official Union Flag was lowered from the roof of the North Shop Building at the entrance to the site for the final time and presented to the General manager of the Site.

Light Gun Handover
The images are from the ceremony held when the 105mm Light Gun was officially accepted by the British Army.
