Welcome to the ROF Nottingham Website

The Royal Ordnance Factory Nottingham effectively stopped working in 2001 and the site was officially closed in 2002 with the Operations, Engineering and support Functions transfering from Nottingham to BAE SYSTEMS sites at Leicester and Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

The website attempts to capture some of the history and character of the Factory and its people, using photographs and images (with some words) taken throughout its life from construction to closure.

We hope that this site will be of interest not only to ROF (N) ex-employees and their families but also more generally and that this ROF Nottingham web site helps to bring back some fond memories to the many ex-employees of Royal Ordnance Factory Nottingham.
